We sincerely thank the Youth Development Administration, Ministry of Education, and the Youth Overseas Dream-Building Fund for their support, which has given AllDayCare this invaluable opportunity to introduce Taiwan’s independently developed assistive technologies to New Zealand’s medical institutions for exchange and pilot implementation.
Project Name: New Zealand Silver Industry International Linkage and Youth Empowerment Dream-Building Project
The first partner institution for this implementation is The Doctors Greenlane, a newly established integrated medical center located in Greenlane, Auckland, New Zealand. Equipped with advanced medical facilities and modern infrastructure, the center provides comprehensive family general practice services. Its medical team offers multilingual services in English, Mandarin, Japanese, and Hokkien, dedicated to serving the needs of a multicultural community while delivering high-quality and accessible healthcare.
The three assistive technologies introduced in this project and their benefits are as follows:
iKeyCare Portable Call Bell: Enhances real-time response mechanisms, improves service quality, accelerates patient response times, and effectively reduces the burden on caregivers.
Muscle Assessment Device: Provides objective measurement of muscle condition through scientific data, assisting medical professionals in evaluating patient strength and rehabilitation progress, expanding the scope of family medicine services, and strengthening patient trust.
Oplate Cognitive Training Device (“Little Black Plate”): Uses gamified interactive design for cognitive training, supporting brain activation and functional maintenance in older adults, thereby improving their quality of life.
We express our deepest gratitude to Director Gary for his strong support of the implementation activities, and to Head Nurse Diana, whose patient guidance helped us better understand New Zealand’s medical culture. Her active participation in learning and leading the team in adopting the assistive technologies was instrumental to the successful integration process.
During the two-week implementation period, although we initially faced challenges due to internet conditions and cultural differences, with the assistance of all parties, the process gradually improved and achieved steady progress. We sincerely thank everyone involved for their support, and we look forward to maintaining ongoing communication and exploring further opportunities for collaboration.
Finally, we extend our special thanks to Chairman Tommy of Rainbow Travel Agency for his great efforts in facilitating this initiative, as well as to the Sun Mama Study Abroad Program team for their assistance and support throughout the activities.
